CASE STUDY
OVERVIEW
Ninarama was born as a passionate intersection between cinema, 90s aesthetics, and the impact of motion.
CONTEXT
In an oversaturated digital landscape dominated by fast entertainment content, and algorithm-driven disposable repetition, Ninarama was conceived as an alternative audiovisual experience. The project focuses on atmosphere, visual identity, and cultural depth.
In an oversaturated digital landscape dominated by fast entertainment content, and algorithm-driven disposable repetition, Ninarama was conceived as an alternative audiovisual experience. The project focuses on atmosphere, visual identity, and cultural depth.
The intention was to create a social-first platform that treats entertainment content with the same level of artistic direction found in editorial publishing, cinema titles, and music culture from the late 90s and early 2000s. Ninarama explores the history, psychology, and sociology surrounding cinema, fashion, and pop culture through motion-driven visual storytelling.
CREATIVE DIRECTION AND EXECUTION
I developed the entire visual language inspired by contemporary motion visuals alongside classic zine publications specialising in music, cinema, and underground culture. My goal was to capture the fun of an era, and channel it into entertainment content focused on and cultural products such as cinema and fashion.

OUTCOME
Designed for social-first distribution, the content translates the bold visual energy of classic pop-culture magazines into scroll-stopping storytelling tailored to contemporary audiences.
The system combines motion graphics, editorial composition, and dynamic pacing to create an experience that feels simultaneously nostalgic and contemporary.
The direction embraces imperfection, texture, and experimentation. Analog-inspired visuals, layered typography, modular grids, and dynamic editing rhythms create a sensory-driven aesthetic language that feels both crafted and immediate.
