MIXER DE MEDIOS | HABANA FLOW CR 70 2ª PUERTA
PRODUCTION | CAMERA | PHOTOGRAPHY | ART DIRECTION
I had the incredible experience of becoming immersed in the Cuban underground culture during the production and filming of Habana Flou, Calle Real 70 2a Puerta, a documentary about the Cuban underground hip-hop movement striving to open a second door towards change in the socio-political landscape around them.
The documentary, produced by Mixer de Medios and directed by Txarli de la Rubia, explores this movement through the musical collectives and secret studios of Havana, featuring the rhymes of Los Aldeanos, Papa Humbertico, Randy Acosta, Escuadrón Patriota, Silvito El Libre, Danay Suárez, and others.

During this production I captured the essence of this unique place and its vibrant people through this series of photography experimentation on 35mm film.
The documentary Habana Flow, Calle Real 70 2a Puerta was released alongside the soundtrack album with the same title.
